Forty years ago, ONIC took its first step toward addressing affordable housing in Central Florida with the development of Callahan Oaks. What followed is a story of steady, purposeful growth — one that belongs to the residents, partners, staff, and board members who have carried this mission forward every year since.
The 2025 Annual Report captures that story in full. This year’s theme, More Than Housing: Building Thriving Communities, reflects what has always been true about ONIC’s work: stable housing is the foundation, but it is not the finish line.
In 2025, Resident Services supported 1,726 unique individuals across three pillars — Housing Support, Asset Building, and Community Building and Engagement. Victory Cove completed a major rehabilitation, preserving 128 affordable homes for the next 30 years. Hollowbrook is mid-renovation with $64.1 million in secured capital to modernize 144 units. The Prodigy Cultural Arts Program marked its 25th anniversary, celebrating 18 years of partnership with ONIC. And our Holiday Banquet returned to raise $28,332 in direct support of residents and families.
This milestone year also honors the people behind the numbers. Long-tenured staff members with decades of institutional knowledge. Youth program participants who have grown into mentors, board members, and community advocates. Resident leaders who helped shape neighborhoods and left lasting legacies.
